Trailers Made Simple with iMovieAlong with my partner in crime Michael McCosh I recently made an iMovie trailer for a fictitious movie titled Littering:Descent into Madness. While fun and entertaining, this experience was pleasant and relatively simple to pull off. All we had to do was choose a trailer layout, take a few video clips, and write some clever titles and captions. This project went hand in hand with earning my iMovie Apple Teacher badge.
The applications this has in a classroom are huge. Even in a business classroom, product commercials and movie trailers are very similar, so the usage of iMovie to create promotions for products is one way we could adapt trailers into the business classroom. It has numerous uses in other subjects as well like trailers for books in english class, a trailer for a biography of a historical figure in social studies, or something similar to "Littering" in a drama or film theory class. Overall, I think that iMovie can be a great asset in any classroom. |
